Orizaba Mountain Guides or OMG is an adventure guiding service led and operated by Roberto “Oso” Flores Rodriguez (in Spanish, “Oso” mean “the bear”). Having led countless expeditions to the Mexican volcanoes and classic peaks in the Andes, Oso has more than 23 years of guiding experience.
Based in Zoapan, Tlachichuca, and Mexico City, OMG gives participants the chance to experience the beauty and challenge of climbing Mexico’s volcanoes: Pico de Orizaba, Iztaccihuatl, Malinche and Nevado de Toluca. During each trip with us, you will discover and learn about our culture and customs at historic museums, colonial cities, and pre-Hispanic ruins, including Teotihuacan, Cholula, Xochitecalt , Cacaxtla, and Cantona.
Our philosophy is to offer very personalized service by hosting small groups and achieving a high rate of success, while following and maintaining the highest safety standards.
